3 Abeka Homeschool Options

Abeka homeschool offers three different options for you and your family to help you establish your homeschool.

In this hub I will go over these three options so you can choose which one fits your family the best.

Abeka Video Option

The first option is the Video Option and this offers you a choice between a non-accredited and accredited program.

If you choose the non-accredited program you will be required to record all your child's progress and grades.

With the accredited program, Abeka will record all grades and maintain their transcripts of all your child's work. This program is available kindergarten through 12th grade and they provide all the necessary materials and the Christian textbooks.

The video the Abeka homeschool has are very high quality and they have master teachers. They have all the basic courses along with many electives you can choose from. With this option you play the role of facilitator because all the actual teaching will be done through the videos.

Abeka Parent-Directed Option

The second option is the called Parent-Directed. This option is fully accredited and are for students kindergarten through 6th grade.

Everything you will need is provided like all the tests, assignments, homework, lesson plans, workbooks and Christian textbooks. Abeka will do all the record keeping.

You will teach your child using the materials they provide. You even get flash cards along with other great teacher aids.

Abeka Materials/Textbooks Option

Option three is called Materials/Textbooks for Abeka homeschool. This is a lot less formal and this covers nursery through 12th grade.

They infuse biblical teachings throughout all the materials and textbooks. There is no diploma given in this option and there are no records that are kept by Abeka.

You keep all records of your child's progress and grades. This is for those that want full control over what their children are learning.

You can go at your child's pace, there is no need to push your child along to "finish" the school year out. You can also pick and choose what subjects you want and maybe don't want.

This option gives you total control and if that is what you are looking for this is the way to go.
